About VIC6
In November 2008, Premier John Brumby announced a $245 million strategy to boost the Victorian ICT industry, including funding for an IPv6 testbed network to help Victorian industry experience IPv6 in practice. Ai Group and IPv6Now collaborated on building that facility in 2009 - the Victorian Industry Collaborative IPv6 Testbed Network.VIC6 Development (2009)
- Phase 1: Industry Outreach and VIC6 Construction took place in early 2009.

Using the IPv6 TestNet Today
To be able to use the TestNet, become a VIC6 member:- Associates receive basic access to VIC6, regular updates on IPv6 news and events, and recognition of their support on the VIC6 website.
- Partners receive physical and remote access to the VIC6 TestNet for testing software, hardware and other VIC6 services, regular updates on IPv6 news and events, and a dedicated web page listing Partner logos, links and profiles.
- Sponsors receive the benefits of Partners, and additionally are formally recognised for their contributions in associated reports, workshops and events.
